Nude and figurative art can feel classical, intimate or highly contemporary depending on the style of the piece. Line drawings and simplified silhouettes tend to feel lighter and more minimal, while painterly figures, photographic-style studies and sculptural poses create a stronger focal point. If you are drawn to more expressive human imagery, explore our portrait art prints, or use black and white wall art for a more restrained monochrome scheme.

Consider both the scale and the mood of the room. Larger figurative prints can work beautifully above a bed, sofa or console, while smaller studies are well suited to dressing areas, bedrooms and mixed gallery walls. Combining figurative artwork with abstract pieces, botanical prints or portraiture usually creates a more sophisticated arrangement than grouping too many similar body studies together.

Framing can shift the mood considerably. Black frames give line drawings and monochrome figures a sharper, contemporary finish, while natural wood can soften more delicate compositions. Dark wood or gold can make classical or painterly nudes feel richer and more traditional. For a layered gallery wall, pair figurative pieces with abstract wall art or eclectic wall art to vary shape, subject and visual texture.
