The World of Westloft Architecture

Skirting Board

The finishing line between wall and floor, often overlooked until it is wrong.

The definition

What is Skirting Board?

A skirting board is the timber or plaster trim that runs around the base of a wall, protecting it while completing the architecture of a room.

The Westloft perspective

In the World of Westloft

For Westloft, skirting is one of those quiet details that decides whether a room feels finished. Not glamorous, perhaps, but neither is punctuation until it disappears.
