Fireplace Surround

The architectural frame around a fireplace, often the natural centre of a room.

The definition

What is Fireplace Surround?

A fireplace surround is the structure around a fireplace opening, made from materials such as marble, stone, wood or cast iron.

The Westloft perspective

In the World of Westloft

At Westloft, the fireplace surround is a stage. Put art above it, candles on it, books beside it and let the room do what rooms used to do: gather people.
